ANFCC is an independent association that contributes to the Nigerian film industry.

The association is set out to define the standards for film criticism, commentary and reviews, with the ultimate goal of developing the Nigeria film industry.

To develop a clear, independent standard for film criticism and review in the Nigerian film industry, with the aim of improving the quality of film production and informed film consumption.

To provide an independent credible, feedback and accountability mechanism for the industry stakeholders in the creativity value chain through structured, good-faith critique.

To build a community of film critics who are committed to learning, rigorous critique, and the long-term growth of Nigerian cinema.
